Days after deleting a purported radical rant which the Huffington Post website initially defended before the article turned out to be a hoax, HuffPost again was forced to delete a blog post -- this time because it was literally deadly serious.

Newsbusters reports that HuffPost contributor Chris Cali, a San Francisco musician with a Vassar film degree who considers his coastal ilk to be the moral superiors of flyover Americans like those in "some s**thole town in Nebraska,” wrote a piece in which he “fantasized about the deaths of Donald Trump supporters” because they “deserve to die more than I do.”

The blog post is still available in an archive, because nothing on the internet ever dies. It begins by lamenting President Trump's bombing of ISIS savages; for Cali, “the thought of a world in which mentally unstable dictators are hurling nuclear warheads at one another is pretty terrifying, especially if you’re a person like me, who lives in a major U.S. city.

Cali points out with typical progressive bigotry that “San Francisco might not be at the top of the target list, but I’m betting it’s higher up than some s**thole town in Nebraska.”

“If the bombs start dropping, it’ll be on cities like New York, Los Angeles, … maybe even Miami,” he continues. “The first Americans to be vaporized or poisoned with radiation in the coming nuclear war will be the ones who tried to stop this crazy train [of the Trump administration] from leaving the station.”

“All those aforementioned cities are filled with people who overwhelmingly voted against giving this 70-year-old man-child who hasn’t yet mastered the art of forming complete sentences the nuclear codes,” Cali stated. “I sure would feel better having a president who at least picks a lie and really commits to it.” You mean like Barack Obama?

Cali pays lip service to fairness by declaring that he doesn't believe “all Trump supporters are virulent white supremacists burning crosses on the lawns of Black folks and immigrants," but “a pretty significant number of these people... revel in it. They want you to know how much they hate immigrants and Blacks and Jews and gays and women and trans people in public bathrooms.”

By contrast, Cali believes, "The majority of people I know who live in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco want to leave the world a better place than they found it... So they try to live their lives in such a way that isn’t consumed by hatred and bigotry." You know, people free of hatred and bigotry like Chris Cali.

Cali concludes that Trump supporters "are the people who deserve to have their towns annihilated. These people are who actually deserve to die in a war that they’ll line up to support. Not my ass. I have a lot to live for. They’ve already decided that they don’t.”

The article received such pushback for being so full of what the left would call hate speech (only if it were uttered by a conservative) that even HuffPost was forced to pull it -- after posting it in the first place.
