Duck Dynasty Star Says Fame Isn't Excuse to Lose Faith

The grandaughter of Papa Phil Robertson, patriarch of the Duck Dynasty clan, has said fame is not an excuse to lose your faith.

Sadie Robertson is the daughter of Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson and one of Papa Phil Robertson's granddaughters. She stars with her family on A&E's reality show Duck Dynasty In an interview with Fox411, Sadie says that she thinks people use fame as an "excuse" to lose their faith and continued that while it should not happen, it can if it is not your number one priority.

The reality star says almost daily she gets a tweet from someone comparing her to Miley Cyrus and hoping she does not turn out like the former Disney Star. Robertson said her family uses the phrase "Remember the Alamo!" as a reminder of the perils of fame and to keep each other humble. The 16 year old girl seemed pretty down to earth in her interview as she continued sharing about the family originally agreeing to do the show not for the fame or money but as an opportunity to share their faith with viewers.

Sadie continued that she knows there are temptations and issues with growing up and being famous adding,

This world can influence you in some bad ways. I know I couldn't do it by myself and my family reminds me why I'm doing this. We wouldn't hae anything that we do have if it weren't for God and we have to give Him the glory for everything.

After the controversy over Duck Dynasty's patriarch Papa Phil's comments regarding homosexuality last year, the show returned for its fifth season in January. The show has dropped in ratings from its fourth season high of 11.7 viewers but still garners an average of over 8 million viewers a week.
