Al Sharpton posted a picture of himself on Twitter reading upside down on Wednesday. That explains why he maims the English language as much as he does.

Actually, it was a kind of a protest against the confirmation of the controversial new Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, in which Vice President Mike Pence cast a historic tie-breaking vote to confirm the Cabinet nominee. Every Democrat in the Senate opposed DeVos’s nomination, as did two Republicans: Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska. DeVos was also fiercely criticized by Hollywood elitists who don’t even send their kids to public schools.

And that brings us back to Sharpton reading upside down (a book about the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., to boot.) Though Democrats claim to be the party of “choice,” they don’t like DeVos’ idea of pushing school choice for parents, so, they do stupid things like this on Twitter.

But at least Sharpton was reading; he needs all the practice he can get:
