Whenever Islamic terrorism rears its ugly head, the Obama administration and a complicit mainstream media circle the wagons to defend Islam and deflect any criticism of it. Here is the latest, most blatant example:
We already know that Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen pledged allegiance to ISIS while he was in the middle of his rampage at Pulse nightclub a week ago, but the Obama administration says they will not release that part of the conversation when transcripts are released on Monday.
Appearing on NBC's Meet the Press, Attorney General Loretta Lynch said that the transcripts of the terrorist's calls will be partially released.
When pressed by host Chuck Todd on what "partially" meant, Lynch admitted they would edit out Mateen's ISIS references.
"What we're not going to do is further proclaim this individual's pledges of allegiance to terrorist groups, and further his propaganda," Lynch said.
"So we're not going to hear him talk about those things," Todd interjected.
"We will hear him talk about some of those things but we are not going to hear him make his assertions of allegiance and that," Lynch said.
Lynch admitted that, given that Mateen is dead, authorities have more leeway to release information, but she said they will still edit.
Audio of the calls is not being released at this point -- only the edited, printed word.
