Bill Nye the "Science Guy" came on hand to once again blame climate change for a natural disaster.

Speaking on CNN, Nye used the flooding in Louisiana to plug his climate change activism, which has largely resurrected his once dead television career; his profoundly anti-religious views have also helped to bolster his street cred among leftists. 

"This is a result of climate change," Nye told CNN's Chris Cuomo. "It's only going to get worse."

As the ocean gets warmer, which it is getting, it expands," he continued. "And then as the sea surface is warmer, more water evaporates. And so it's very reasonable that these storms are connected to these big effects."

Nye also stressed that other issues will occur as a result, saying poor people will fall victim to looters as climate change forces them from their homes. 

"(T)hen what’s going to happen to all that copper wiring?" asked Nye. "And all that copper plumbing? Somebody’s going to show up and salvage it, or somebody’s going to show up and loot it, which will lead to all sorts of criminal activity."

"And where are these people going to go to get a job?" he asked. "And this is in the developed world. This is the U.S., let alone all the places that don’t have these resources."

Later in the interview, Bill Nye also plugged the "Solutions Project," an organization that seeks to replace fossil fuels with renewable energy. He also took a jab at one of CNN's meteorologist Chad Myers, chastising the network for keeping him on. 

"And you know, here at CNN you have, essentially, a climate change denier meteorologist," he said. "Knock yourselves out, but this is a big problem and it’s not going to go away."

Meanwhile, perhaps Nye the Science Guy would prefer that Myers the Denier be arrested for not acknowledging that the science on climate change is settled.
