Hypocrite: Here’s What Candidate Joe Scarborough Said About NRA

"Our constitutional right to bear arms is so we may protect our family in the manner we choose. No compromise!"

Despite Joe Scarborough's relentless attacks on the NRA this week after the Parkland, Florida mass shooting, the unhinged left-winger sang a very different tune only five years ago.

As reported yesterday by TruthRevolt, on Thursday, the host of Morning Joe essentially called anyone who is pro-gun "useful idiots." On Friday, the bombardment continued, with Scarborough charging gun makers with "profiting off of children being slaughtered in school," as well as demanding that "it's not a constitutional right to have assault weapons."

However, according to Newsbusters, when the wild host was running in a political race for representative of Florida's 1st District in 2013, he gave a conspicuous definition of "assault weapons":  "anything the government would fear the people could use to protect their rights."

Interesting. So, Scarborough completely reversed his stated opinion. What about those recently-castigated "domestic terrorist enablers," the NRA? At the time, Scarborough maintained:

"The NRA must elect & support candidates who will view the gun rights issue as a constitutional battle. The founding fathers did not give us the 2nd amendment to protect our rights to shoot ducks. Our constitutional right to bear arms is so we may protect our family in the manner we choose. No compromise!"

What?  So, Scarborough was -- just a little while ago -- a "useful idiot?" Apparently. He certainly has transformed: he was once a useful idiot, and now he is merely an idiot.
