HuffPo Removes Editor’s Note Claiming Trump a ‘Xenophobe’ From All Future Stories

So, suddenly the leftist outlet has a conscience?

Ever since Donald Trump won the New Hampshire primary back in February, The Huffington Post editors attached the following note to each and every story it did about the New York real estate mogul:

Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims -- 1.6 billion members of an entire religion -- from entering the U.S.

It was their way of sticking it to the presidential candidate every chance they could get. But according to The Blaze, HuffPo editors have decided to remove the note from all future stories now that he is the president-elect. Washington bureau chief Ryan Grim announced the outlet will start from a “clean slate” from here on out:

“The thinking is that… he’s now president and we’re going to start with a clean slate. If he governs in a racist, misogynistic way, we reserve the right to add it back on. This would be giving respect to the office of the presidency which Trump and his backers never did.”

Spokesperson Sujata Mitra added that the outlet “will no longer be adding the note to future stories, as he is no longer a presidential candidate.”

But judging by the headline featured above, the HuffPo was able to get in one last jab before they go all “clean slate.”
