The sore losers over Donald Trump's free and fair election to POTUS keep pouring out of Hollywood. Now its self-proclaimed feminist and The Avengers director Joss Whedon's turn.
After campaigning heavily for Hillary Clinton this past election, producing a ridiculous celebrity-laden PSA that ordinary Americans roundly mocked for its pervasive smugness, Whedon is now upset, and he's pounding his iPhone to let everyone on Twitter know how he feels.
"This is simple," the 52-year-old wrote on Twitter Monday. "Trump cannot CANNOT be a allowed a term in office. It’s not about 2018. It’s about RIGHT NOW."
Using the now tired and tried "popular vote" mantra, Whedon declared that democracy itself will die if Trump becomes POTUS.
"Letting [T]rump take office means burying democracy. Letting him take it without the popular vote means burying it alive," he wrote.
"Is this all worse for the young ppl who are stunned or for those of us who’ve watched it since Reagan like a slow motion car crash?" he wrote in an earlier post.
Whedon did not specify exactly how Trump could be prevented from office, though the most likely would be having electors in the Electoral College disregard the will of their states make Clinton president instead. Millions have signed a petition for this. Only in the Twilight Zone.
The Electoral College will officially cast their votes on December 19.
