Hot Mic Picks Up Pelosi Driving the Narrative Hard: Tell ‘Em You’re A Muslim, Do It!

Helloooooo, identity politics!

At an anti-Trump rally in front of the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday night, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was caught on a hot mic instructing Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN) to be sure and inform the crowd that he is, in fact, a Muslim.

Wait a minute, we thought a person's religion, skin color, or creed wasn’t important because we’re all a part of the human race, correct? Oh, that’s right! Identity politics is always at play.

And boy did Pelosi indulge. In hopes of driving home the point that President Trump’s executive actions on stopping refugees from terror-tied countries from coming across our borders are an assault on Muslims, Pelosi urged Carson to say his religion right away after she introduced him.

In fact, Pelosi made sure to introduce Carson as “a Muslim member of Congress.”

“Greetings from the great state of Indiana. I’m Congressman Andre Carson,” he said over an intercom.

“Tell them you’re a Muslim. Tell them you’re a Muslim,” Pelosi twice insisted. After all, that’s the only pertinent information about his identity at the moment. Forget his other accomplishments.

And he obliged:

“Not only do I represent Indiana’s seventh congressional district very proudly, but I happen to be a Muslim and a former police officer.”

Pelosi looked on with approval, kind of like this:
