Holder Unleashes on ‘Orange Man’ Trump: ‘We Want the America of Barack Obama’

You can go away now, Eric.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder is wishing for the good ol’ days to come back when his pal and boss Barack Obama was in charge of the country.

As Douglas Ernst at The Washington Times put it, Holder seems to enjoy being “unshackled from his old job” so that he can tell us how he really feels about Republicans. Now that he is the chair of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee and supporting Democratic candidates in state elections, like Ralph Northam for Virginia governor, Holder no longer has to hold his tongue.

During a podcast entitled “Eric Holder is Tired of Being Polite,” the former AG said he is fully committed to taking down the Right and continuing President Obama’s legacy:

“You don’t do politics when you’re attorney general, but as a private citizen and as a defender of the Obama legacy, I’m free to say what I want and to say it in the way that I’d like to.”

And he did just that:

“I probably would not have [attacked Republicans like] that while I was attorney general. I didn’t have an orange man who I was serving under, but, I mean, I would not have said that about a former president, for instance, while I was attorney general. But now, I’m just a citizen and I’ve got the full range of my voice back.”

Holder added, “We need to send Donald Trump a message. You’re telling Donald Trump that’s not the America I want. We want the America of Barack Obama.”

“The president sets a moral tone, and I think in that regard President Trump has not done the job we expect of our leaders,” he continued. “The election of Barack Obama did not magically transform us as a people and eradicate bigotry, eradicate neo-Nazis and white nationalists. They were still there, but they didn’t feel empowered in a way that I think they do now.”

Well, Eric, America definitely prefers you far, far away from the White House. Your words aren’t as repugnant as the corruption you and Obama injected into our nation. And by the way, it's a shame you pointed out a sitting president's skin color. Didn't you learn better from your old boss?
