Ed Schultz used the popularity of March Madness as an opportunity for a political analogy --and while discussing the college basketball tournament shimmied around his television set. Schultz lightly criticized Obama, saying that the president needs to help Democrats win the mid-terms by working on the "hard court." Ed said Obama should focus on the positives of Obamacare (!) and American jobs.
The MSNBC host lamented that Democrats need a game plan, shouting:
We just don't seem to have an inside game. We're not strong around the hoop! We don't freakin' dunk it when it comes to jobs!
Going from a Dean-esque yell to a sing-songy voice Schultz continued,
We're on the outside sayin' this and cheerin', takin' a toss and missin'!
Schultz then continued to rally against trade agreements like NAFTA and the Trans Pacific Partnership before ushering in another segment of his week-long special on the American steele workers in Ohio.
