Schultz: Boehner Has Too Much Power

Ed Schultz argued for an extension of unemployment benefits and lamented all the "power" he believes John Boehner has.

On MSNBC, Ed Schultz was furious at Republican leadership for declining to vote on an extension of unemployment benefits. Showing a picture of Speaker John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy and Cathy McMorris Rogers discussing the economy and jobs, Schultz said they were making a "miscalculation" on what is best for the country. Schultz admitted he did not have any statistics for his argument but that he had talked to enough Americans to know.

Schultz said Republicans were hurting people and said their excuses didn't hold water. He then pointed to Boehner's image behind him on a screen and said,

In fact, this guy right here, something's wrong with America. One guy shouldn't have that much power!

Schultz has often defended President Obama's executive orders and encouraged the president to interfere with the building of the Keystone Pipeline. Later in the segment he continued bashing the Republican party, saying they are disconnected and drunk with power.
