Democratic Party Still Losing, Fundraising Lowest in 8 Years

That’s because they (don’t) “give a sh*t about people.”

It must be hard for Democrats to be on such a losing streak these days. After being blindsided by a 2016 election they were sure was going to Hillary Clinton, there is talk that they will rebound victorious in 2018 and 2020. But a new report on the Democratic National Committee’s fundraising efforts say otherwise.

According to the Washington Examiner, the DNC just had its worst April since 2009, only taking in $4.7 million. Comparatively, April 2016 brought in $8.5 million. In the years between 2010 and 2014, the money was pouring in, hitting $6.3 million in one year and all the way up to $14.4 million in another.

As it happens, the two leaders rallying Democrats around the country are Bernie Sanders and new DNC chair Tom Perez — the man who likes to curse his way through a public speech.

Politico writer Marc Caputo tweeted:

The real problem is the Democrats have no message. Even top Dems, like Maxine Waters, can’t define it. But they don’t have to, because everyone knows it already: anti-Trump and nothing but anti-Trump. But it’s that kind of attitude that got them here in the first place. And it looks like they’re going to keep on keeping on. We say go for it.
