Monday on Andrea Mitchell Reports, White House Senior Advisor Dan Pfeiffer once again painted the Republicans as terrorists, claiming that the House continuing resolution delaying Obamacare is a clear case of “hostage taking”:

Of course, rather than taking him to task on the smear, MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell just moved on to questions about the potential for compromise on the tax component of the bill.

To her credit, Mitchell did repeatedly push Pfeiffer on the failure of Democrats to negotiate, making Pfeiffer’s rehearsed talking points even more disjointed.

The “Breaking News” ticker for the segment consisted entirely of simplified Obama talking points from his brief presser on the continuing resolution:

Obama: Everyone needs to do what’s right for American People.

Obama: Pass the budget, pay the bills.
