Washington Post: Obama Running More Than A Day Behind

Has been more than 35 hours late to events so far

An analysis by the Washington Post of President Obama's schedule and the time he actually arrives at events reveals that the President has left audiences waiting for nearly a day and a half.

The Post looked at the time stamps of all Obama's delivered remarks and compared them to the times he was scheduled to start speaking. For accuracy's sake, the paper did not include events in which the President's appearance was contingent on someone else concluding their remarks first, and also included times that the President started speaking earlier than scheduled.

In all, the President's reputation for constantly being late appears well deserved:

What we found: Obama has been a cumulative 2,121 minutes late to events in 2014. That's 35 hours, 21 minutes -- or almost a day and a half -- that his audiences have been waiting for him to speak. That's for a lot of events, though. On average, he is 11 minutes late to scheduled speaking appointments.
