Another day, another dose of Trump hatred from the coven at The View.
Wednesday on ABC’s long-running gabfest the left-leaning panel, led by the brilliant political strategist Whoopi Goldberg, attacked President Donald Trump for honoring the widow of a fallen Navy SEAL during his address before Congress Tuesday. It has been called one of the most powerful moments in recent political history, but co-host Sunny Hostin called Trump's gesture “exploitative,” and then blamed him for causing the veteran’s death in the first place.
As reported by Newsbusters, Whoopi began the segment by playing a clip of the nearly 2-minute long standing ovation given to Navy SEAL Ryan Owens and his widow, Carryn, who was present as a guest of the President. This prompted The View hosts to view Mrs. Owens as a political “prop.”
With unparalleled military insight and judgment, Whoopi declared that the military mission in which Ryan Owens died "could have not have happened without presidential approval, which is why President Obama never gave the go-ahead because he felt that it wasn’t good enough to send our people in. So, was this a tribute or was this damage control?"
Disgusting. Shut up, Whoopi.
Hostin then spoke announced that many of her family members are in the military, which apparently qualifies her to opine on Trump's motive:
"I thought that was so exploitive. I thought he exploited that widow. It was so hurtful to me. Because we know that U.S. military officials have said to the press that Obama didn't give the green light because he felt that the mission would mark a significant escalation in Yemen. And President Trump, without the intel, without the appropriate ground support, approved this at dinner, while not in the situation room and was tweeting. So when I look at that, I think, my God, how do you exploit the woman who's grieving over the loss of her husband, the father of her children, when you sent him there without the appropriate ground support? That was wrong."
Naturally this, like all the show's bashing of Trump and conservatives, garnered applause from the star-struck women in the live audience.
Instead of calling the others out for their Trumphobic, heartless cynicism, the sole conservative co-host, Jedediah Bila, agreed that the intelligence Trump got wasn’t “helpful” and that she doesn't like either side of the political aisle using people as "props."
If Barack Obama had done the exact same thing, the hypocrites of The View would be calling Ryan Owens a hero and falling all over themselves praising their Messiah's emotionally moving gesture and his respect for women and our military.
