University Hires Tattletales to Turn Students In for Bias

The Orwellian position is called “Social Justice Advocates.”

A new position at the University of Arizona pays workers to turn in students for “bias incidents” while at the same time, to promote inclusiveness and “positive interactions.”

Here is the job description as listed at the UA website:

The Social Justice Advocates (SJA) Position is one that is grounded in the multicultural competency framework and allows student staff to gain the awareness, knowledge, and skills necessary to work effectively with students and residents across cultures and identities. The position calls for an understanding of social identity groups, experiences, histories, and practices as it relates to every day life and life at the University of Arizona.

The position also aims to increase understanding of one’s own self through critical reflection of power and privilege, identity and intersectionality, systems of socialization, cultural competency and allyship as they pertain to the acknowledgement, understanding and acceptance of differences. Finally, this position intends to increase a student staff member’s ability to openly lead conversations, discuss differences and confront diversely insensitive behavior.

So, now colleges are paying them to be snowflakes? Yep, $10 an hour for at least 15 hours per week.

There are other duties, as well, including monthly programs in the residence halls on multiculturalism and social justice issues and maintaining a bulletin board.

Part of the “Job Expectations” are: “Promote inclusive communities through positive interactions and increase resources available for staff on topics relating to diversity, multiculturalism and social justice” and “Report any bias incidents or claims to appropriate Residence Life staff.”

And that’s where the real problem lies, because as we’ve reported here at TruthRevolt phrases like “man up,” or “ditzy”, or even “useless” are trigger words and have sent grown adult college kids hiding in the university-provided ball pit. (Seriously, look it up!)

And it’s pretty obvious that everyone wanted the job of being the resident tattletale because applications are already closed for the position. Students are already reporting on every microaggression their SJW-senses tell them, so, why not get paid for it? If you’ll excuse the triggering expression, that’s very capitalistic of them. Or is it totalitarian?
