Trump Skipping WH Correspondence Dinner; What He’s Doing Instead is Driving Press Nuts

Checkmate, liberal media.

President Trump is keeping another campaign promise by not attending the White House Correspondents Dinner on Saturday. Instead, he’s doing something he’s equally good at: trolling the media… and hard.

Much like during the campaign when he upstaged his Republican competition by skipping the Fox News debate and holding an event that raised millions for veterans, Trump is holding a rally in Pennsylvania in lieu of attending what he dubbed “nerd prom”:

Politico’s Kenneth Vogel took much issue with the move and whined on Twitter:

But later, Vogel had to admit Trump’s trolling is on an epic level:

And why would Trump go to the dinner? Back in 2011, then-President Obama and comedian Seth Meyers publicly humiliated Trump about his hair, his TV show, and his obsessions with Obama’s birth certificate, and the media ate it up.

Welcome to 2017. Obama’s not president anymore.
