Reality show host and presidential candidate Donald Trump erupted on twitter Sunday night, after Senator Ted Cruz won every single one of the 34 delegates in the Colorado GOP primary. The reason for Trumps anger? Colorado did not hold a vote of its citizens to award the delegates. 

The Cruz campaign ran the table in Colorado, capturing all 34 delegates at a series of seven congressional district meetings this month and the state party convention Saturday in Colorado Springs.

“How is it possible that the people of the great State of Colorado never got to vote in the Republican Primary? Great anger – totally unfair!” wrote Trump.

And then he wrote, “The people of Colorado had their vote taken away from them by the phony politicians. Biggest story in politics. This will not be allowed!”

Last August, Colorado GOP officials decided not to let citizens participate in the primary process because they did not want their delegates to be bound to a candidate -- an RNC requirement.

“The GOP executive committee has voted to cancel the traditional presidential preference poll after the national party changed its rules to require a state’s delegates to support the candidate that wins the caucus vote." the Denver Post reported last year.

“It takes Colorado completely off the map” in the primary season, Ryan Call, a former state GOP chairman, told the paper.

It wasn't just Trump who was upset about the election. One supporter went on You Tube to burn his Republican party registration after the delegate selection, telling the party to "take note."
