Actress/activist Susan Sarandon, who has "broken up" with friend Hillary Clinton in order to support socialist presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that she's more concerned about Hillary's "hawkishness" than Donald Trump's proposed border wall.
Sarandon is upset over Hillary's support for the war in Iraq, her support of fracking, and her lack of support for a $15 minimum wage (hmm, Hillary's starting to sound pretty good right about now). "I don't trust her," she concluded.
"What is it you see in Bernie?" Colbert asked.
To loud applause, Sarandon responded that Sanders has been morally consistent "my entire life."
When Colbert pressed her on whether she will vote for Hillary if the latter gets the nomination, Sarandon said she's "not there yet":
"I'm more afraid of, actually, Hillary Clinton's war record and her hawkishness than I am of building a wall. But that doesn't mean I would vote for Trump... I mean, who's going to vote for Trump? Seriously."
This got a roar of approval from the virtue-signaling audience.
