A student who secretly filmed his psychology professor calling Donald Trump’s presidential victory “an act of terrorism” has been suspended for a full semester.
As TruthRevolt previously reported, Olga Perez Stable Cox spouted her radical opinions to her class at Costa Mesa, California’s Orange Coast College back in December and the moment was posted to YouTube. Her tirade about the president and vice president being “white supremacists” and “anti-gay” has been viewed over 400,000 times. In it, the professor also charged Trump supporters as being the enemy within — those that caused the "assault" were “among us” in the very room.
Yes, there were Trump supporters in that room but they’re not the enemy. They were just sick of hearing unsolicited opinions in a non-political class. So, Caleb O’Neil posted the video to show how leftist professors waste valuable class time slamming Republicans and doing so got him suspended for one semester.
The Blaze noted other aspects of his punishment: O’Neil must meet with the dean of students “before he’s readmitted and then remain on disciplinary probation for a semester.” He must also write a three-page, double-spaced essay apology to the professor to explain why he filmed her in violation of the course syllabus and include his “thoughts and analysis” on why he made the video public. If any of the disciplinary measures are not met, O’Neil could be expelled permanently.
Freedom X law firm founder Bill Becker is representing O’Neil in the appeal, calling the punishment “an attack by leftists.” Becker added:
“He was in fear of retaliation by his instructor after she launched into a half-hour rant in which she labeled Trump a ‘white supremacist’ and told the class she would no longer tolerate any person who voted for Trump. O’Neil videotaped the rant over concerns that his grade might be lowered for the class because of his outward show of support for Trump. He intended to use the video to present to the administration as evidence of his concerns.”
Other students who were in the class during said Professor Cox asked Trump supporters to stand up during her rant as an act of intimidation. A teachers union rep said it wasn’t quite like that and explained a student did stand up in support of Trump and the professor asked others to do the same if they felt like it.
Cox reportedly left California for some time after the video went public after receiving death threats, The Blaze added.
