Stephen Colbert Wants Trump to Give Him Fake News Media Award

"For your consideration..."

Late-night comedian Stephen Colbert wants to be nominated in the upcoming fake news media awards President Trump mentioned on Twitter this week.

Taking a cue from Hollywood before big awards shows, Colbert purchased a billboard in Times Square to offer up The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for consideration “in all categories including:”

Outstanding Achievement in Parroting George Soros’ Talking Points
Best Sound Mixing
Best Chex Mixing
Least Breitbarty
The Eric Trump Memorial Award for Disappointment
Fakest Dishonesty
Corruptest Fakeness
Dishonestest Corruption
Smallest Button

He included quotes about himself from the likes of Sean Hannity, who said, “A horrible human being” and The Internet, “#FireColbert.” There’s one from Trump who said, “There’s nothing funny about what he says.”

According to the White House, the awards are scheduled to be given out on Monday, though the details are a little fuzzy:
