Soros Plans to Fund Lefty ‘Judicial Watch’ to Go After Trump

Suddenly Democrats want transparency.

Billionaire liberal investor and prime mover behind the Democratic “Shadow Party” network George Soros is reportedly forming a left-wing version of Judicial Watch, the government transparency watchdog group headed by Tom Fitton, to go after Donald Trump’s administration.

Like Fitton’s outfit, which has hammered the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton, and George W. Bush with Freedom of Information Act lawsuits over the years, Soros’s unnamed group plans to do the same as Trump takes over the White House. According to The Daily Caller, Soros and his team recently met in Washington D.C. for several days for the Democracy Alliance’s investment summit. Soros formed that group in 2004 after John Kerry failed to secure the presidency and it funnels millions of dollars to liberal organizations like Media Matters (another Soros project) and Planned Parenthood with the goal of influencing elections.

Fitton was asked to comment on this new development; he told The DC:

“We’re always happy when there’s more government transparency. The left and the right need to take that issue more seriously and commit to it…

“Judicial Watch had success because the [Obama] administration was lawless and secretive, and Mrs. Clinton committed misconduct and violated the law.

“[N]no matter what happens under the Trump administration, Judicial Watch will be there. We’re going to continue to do the work, and the American people can rely on us to be independent and non-partisan.”

The same cannot be said for Soros’s now-forming group.
