Here Are All the Vile Things Celebs Said About Standing Ovation for Military Widow

There was hardly a dry eye in the house during President Trump’s congressional address when he honored Carryn Owens, the widow of fallen Navy SEAL Ryan Owens. Except, of course, the eyes of the liberal Democrats who couldn’t bare to stand and join in the ovation.

If anyone wants to see the faces of the Enemy Within, see this photo. That’s Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Rep. Keith Ellison refusing to participate in honoring a woman who just lost her American warrior husband:

Even the super-leftist CNN commentator Van Jones admitted this two-minute standing ovation “was one of the most extraordinary moments you have ever seen in American politics.”

But the Democrats’ actions are part and parcel to why they looked so dreary while Trump was speaking: they lost and will continue to do so if they keep this up.

"How can we win back parts of the country we lost?" conservative columnist Stephen Miller asked on behalf of these sad souls. "I know. Sit during mentions of victims of crime, Harley owners & Navy SEAL widows.”

Celebrities were just as upset by this moment of honoring the wife of an American hero and chimed in with their own cringe-worthy commentary.

Actress Debra Messing thought the touching moment "was horrifying:”

Bill Maher was on Hardball Tuesday evening after the speech and said, “I don't see any great courage here ... who wouldn't stand and applaud for a war widow?" Democratic leaders, that's who.

Also on Hardball was the morally twisted Michael Moore, who sent his bile spewing all over the moment: “Ryan Owens, his death came as a result of a dinner @realdonaldtrump had.”

“I’m going to get an Emmy for this, most applause for a dead solder on my watch,” the reprehensible hater Moore said of Trump.

Rob Reiner was on the panel, too, and went full Meathead: “It was cringe-worthy ... talk about using someone as a prop. It was disgraceful." If it had been Barack Obama in Trump's place, these pampered celebrity scum would be falling all over themselves praising Obama for it.

These folks have no class. Thankfully, a conservative commentator was on Twitter last night schooling this mindless dolts on their self-important attitudes. I give you, Mary Katharine Ham with the smackdown:

For those lamenting Carryn Owens' "exploitation," let me offer some thoughts. I'm not asking you to like Trump or credit him for that moment.

But what you can & should do is credit her. Maybe a SEAL wife who's been through, God willing, the worst life will give her, can handle Trump.

Maybe a SEAL wife knows exactly what she's doing & doesn't need you to explain it to her. Maybe she needs things you don't know much about.

Maybe a widow raising 3 children knows how important it is to keep his name & memory alive, & that this moment is bigger than Trump or you.

Maybe she knows one day she will show them this video & tell them the President of the United States & all the nation honored him.

Maybe she thinks it might teach her children the strength & courage of their dad (& mom!) to watch her stand up tall even when it hurts.

Maybe all that is more important than your angst about which president is involved & how. Just bc she's crying doesn't mean she's a victim.

Maybe, probably, very likely, she's a badass. You and your kids are in my prayers, Carryn. Do what you gotta do. Proverbs 31:25

Ham knows whereof she speaks. She lost her husband, Obama White House staffer Jake Brewer, two years ago when he collided with a vehicle while participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer.
