Yesterday, Al Sharpton visited the Free Library of Philadelphia to promote his new book "The Rejected Stone: Al Sharpton and the Path to American Leadership"  

He told the audience: "Whether you are middle class, whether you are poor white, whether you are Latino, whether you are gay, all of us have been rejects. And what we are seeing now is that a lot of society can not adjust to the fact that the rejects now have become the cornerstone of this country."

Sharpton is travelling around the country promoting his new book which was released this week.
