Highlighting first lady Michelle Obama's "ping-pong diplomacy," Sharpton took the time to highlight how President Obama might be lonely and so all alone at the White House. Al giddily covered Michelle's trip to China with her mother, Marian Shields Robinson, and the first daughters Sasha and Malia. He talked about it being the first lady's "first full day" in the country.
Sharpton then played a clip of the Ellen interview with Obama, in which the comedian asked him if he'd made his bed. Sharpton mispronounced and misread numerous words during the segment. Worrying that Obama might be lonely Sharpton advised Barack,
Don't worry Mr. President, you've only got five more days to be home alone.
On Thursday's Politics Nation, Sharpton was sad Ellen's Oscar selfie with numerous celebrities had beat out Obama's 2008 image of him and Michelle embracing after winning re-election. He encouraged Obama that he has "three more years" to catch up to the daytime host. On Friday, Sharpton celebrated Twitter's birthday by showing that picture of Barack and Michelle.
Meanwhile Chinese news agencies are dubbing China's First Lady Xi Jinping the "winner" of the Battle of the First Ladies while Michelle Obama visits.
