With speculation high as to whether or not this year's Republican nomination for president might come by way of a contested convention, Paul Ryan has ruled himself out of any potential run. 

"I want to put this to rest once and for all," Ryan told reporters at the Republican National Committee’s headquarters. "Let me be clear, I do not want, nor do I accept, the nomination for our party. I should not be considered. Period. End of story."

Much of Ryan's reasoning was based on his feeling that it's extremely unfair and wrong for the party to nominate someone that did not participate in the primary, which he specifically chose not to do. 

"I believe you should only chose from a person who has actually participated in the primary," Ryan said.

Ryan also urged delegates to focus only on the three men currently on the ballot, which leaves us with John Kasich, Ted Cruz, or Donald Trump.
