On the "Impact Segment" of The O'Reilly Factor Monday night, host Bill O'Reilly addressed President Trump's remark that the news media are the "enemy of the people" and questioned whether a biased press is a free press.
He pointed out that the American people believe that much of the news media is simply "an arm of the Democratic party":
It's not a stretch for any fair-minded person to believe that the national media leans heavily left and despises President Trump -- not willing to give him a chance or any benefit of the doubt.

When the press aligns itself with a political movement -- in this case, liberalism -- then it is no longer objective or free, because it's sympathizing with a political point of view. It is tethered to a philosophy.

Barack Obama complained about the press, too, or at least Fox News, as O'Reilly noted.
O'Reilly concluded by saying that “If the American press wants to regain respect, it needs to ditch its outwardly liberal bent.”
"I know all these people" in the news media, he added. "I know who they are and how they think. In the national press, it is at least ten-to-one liberal over conservative."
