Old Clinton Media Pal Helps Her Out Again

Fails to ask the tough questions

Hillary Clinton may be under investigation by the FBI but if you get your news from ABC's George Stephanopoulos, you wouldn't know it. The Democrat presidential candidate sat down with her husband's former spin doctor for an interview that aired on Good Morning America.

Stephanopoulos' first question was to ask why she wasn't already beating Bernie Sanders: "Why can't you put him away?"

Completely absent from the interview were any questions about the email scandal and its investigation or tricky question topics such as abortion - a clear departure from Chuck Todd's interview for NBC the day before.

In addition to being a former aid to Bill Clinton, Stephanopoulos is a donor to the Clinton Foundation, having given $75,000 to the charity with Hillary's name at the top but failed to disclose that fact publicly until it was exposed by other media. The ABC host is so close to the Clintons that, as the Media Research Center reports, Stephanopoulos once told Hillary Clinton that he loved her.

The entire interview between Clinton and Stephanopoulos was focused not on issues, such as the email scandal, foreign policy or the economy but how Clinton could beat Sanders or Republican frontrunner Donald Trump.
