On Wednesday, MSNBC's Chris Hayes shamefully leveled an outrageous accusation against Donald Trump. According to Hayes, the President was using the Florida high school shooting as a distraction in order to avoid answering questions during the day's White House press conference.
Due to the mass murder, the Trump administration canceled its scheduled press briefing:
In a tweeted response, the host of All In with Chris Hayes disgracefully asked:
"Is the WH really hiding behind a school shooting so they don’t have to answer questions about a host scandals [sic] in the administration? Kinda looks like that’s what’s happening.”

If Obama had canceled a briefing due to a national tragedy, would the mainstream media have assigned deplorable intentions to the act, rather than viewing as respectful to the victims? The answer is doubtlessly "no."
It seemed that Hayes was, himself, exploiting the tragedy. Unsurprisingly, some on Twitter found his suggestion abominable:
Someone did a good job of pointing out the left-wing double standard:
Apparently, the reaction got to Hayes.
In a rare (though admittedly lightweight) mea culpa on the act of a leftist in the news, Hayes admitted his preposterous error.
Despite his change of mind, the Twitterverse continued the pummeling. Good for them.
The Left's persistent attacks on Donald Trump are reprehensible. Despite their labeling of him as an exploitative political opportunist, it is they who will stoop to staggering lows, using the most gruesome of tragedies in order to strike at his presidency. Fortunately, their tactics are transparent, and America can see through to their left-wing biased core.
