To the dismay of the leftist elites at MSNBC, most of the country does not stand in opposition to Donald J. Trump.

Many Americans are concerned about treason and corruption revealed in the GOP-led Nunes memo, but on Monday the Peacock network's pundits chalked up support of the memo to foolishness, ignorance, and deceptive Russian Twitterbots.

No, seriously.

Morning Joe Scarborough and his partner, Mika Brzezinski, went with a combo explanation. The left-wing duo framed Trump supporters as losers living in their mother's basements and online twits confused by bots from Mother Russia:

Scarborough: [Trump] will throw anybody or anything under the bus, including the best interests of this nation...And if there's anybody throughout that questions that, I can't wait for you to grab your Cheetos, and put on your tighty-whiteys, and go down to your mom's basement and start typing that blog away.

Brzezinski: Join the bots.

In the echo chamber of MSNBC's Live with Velshi and Ruhle, the hosts blamed interest in the memo on an inability to be rational:

Ruhle: We’ve seen this FISA, Nunes, Fusion GPS noise coming out of the far right for the last year. All they need is Trump’s base to believe this and it works. So you and I could walk through this all day long and shine light and rationality; they don’t need rationality.

Velshi: There’s some people who aren’t listening.

The gang at Andrea Mitchell Reports credited Russian bots, additionally asserting that President Trump had enlisted the Russians' mastery of memes -- we're not joking -- to help bolster fascination with the memo:

Mitchell: He had an unwitting ally, the Russian bots, pushing the ‘Release the Memo’ meme. So the Russians are still at it.

Political consultant Stephanie Cutter: Unwitting? It might not be so unwitting.

Since the advent of Donald Trump as a Republican candidate, the left-wing media have abandoned any and all standards of journalistic integrity. They have used every form of deceptive narrative, from half-truths to shameful lies, to attempt political victory. Yet victory has escaped them, most notably in the 2016 election. They remain in their bubble of disbelief, refusing to accept the results of that contest and unable to recognize that America isn't limited to the coastal elites, nor is it controlled by puppet masters from abroad. Most Americans want truth, not leftist hysteria. They want justice and a just government, not one involved in a corrupt, partisan witch hunt against the President.
