Missouri State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal (D-Ferguson) is conducting a very public, one-sided war on Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon—and making a name for herself in the process.

After she made headlines by asking Ferguson police if she would be tear-gassed again, Chappelle-Nadal appeared on MSNBC Wednesday to blast the governor, calling him a “coward” (video above). The attacks continued that night and Thursday on Twitter, where she really let it fly, at one point tweeting “F*** you, Governor. I’m calling your bullsh*t!” Her followers online ate it up.

Here are a few of the state senator’s tweets directed at Nixon, the most hostile in direct reply to a tweet he posted about being "committed" to taking care of the crisis:

Chappelle-Nadal is not the only one ripping Gov. Nixon. As Mother Jones notes, he's getting hammered online from people across the spectrum, and the situation has badly damaged any hopes he might have had in a 2016 VP run.
