Memorial Day Was Marked by a POTUS Who Actually Cares About Our Military

What a refreshing change.

On Memorial Day, President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence made a special trip to the graves of our soldiers who fell in Iraq and Afghanistan. Most touching, was the impromptu meeting our president shared with two mothers of fallen soldiers during ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery. Fox News summarizes and there are two videos featured above:

Trump took a walk over to Section 60, which is dedicated to those who gave their lives in service from 2001 to the present.

Grieving family members were proud to see Trump and Vice President Pence visit.

A woman told Trump about her son who was killed overseas.

She said that in one of his last conversations with her, he said, "Mama, I hope that people don't forget that I ever lived."

Trump said the soldier is looking down and smiling at his mother from heaven.

The woman also shared a hug with Pence.

A young boy, Christian Jacobs, visited Section 60 in a replica uniform of his late father, Christopher Jacobs.

Trump and Christian gave each other high-fives.

Regardless of one's personal views on President Trump, it cannot be said that he doesn't show genuine love, admiration, and respect for our military. And what a refreshing and much-needed change that is.
