On Monday's Hardball, Chris Matthews called a Saturday Night Live sketch in which an actor playing Pope Francis danced for Obamacare "sacrilege."
Matthews often mentions his Catholic faith on air and has even compared President Obama to the Pope. But he wasn't laughing on Monday when he played the segment from Saturday's SNL that made fun of the efforts the Obama administration has gone to to promote Obamacare. In the segment leading up to the whole clip Matthews said,
... I'm not sure I like this sacrilegious stuff here... But to spread the word about the new healthcare law!
Later in the show Matthews played the entire sketch which potrayed "Obama" and "Pope Francis" dancing the "nay nay" and then said,
I don't think so.
