In an intense and heated meeting, House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrel Issa ended a hearing over the IRS’ targeting of conservative groups after Lois Lerner once again pleaded the fifth on advice from her council.

According to the Washington Examiner,

“After asking questions for some 20 minutes without getting a response from Lerner, Issa abruptly adjourned the committee hearing, without giving Democrats on the panel a chance to make a statement. Were adjourned. Close it down”

Issa’s shutdown caused Elijah Cummings (D. Maryland), to have a conniption.

"You cannot run a committee like this. ... I am a member of the Congress of the United States of America… I am tired of this… It’s absolutely un-American."
