It's hard to fathom how the coven of uninformed blowhards at ABC’s The View could ever be taken seriously as political commentators, but sadly, this is the nature of our pop culture now.
On Monday the chicken-brained panelists ranted about their anti-Christ Donald Trump, his choice for Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, and the men's relationship with Russia. Whoopi Goldberg, whose forceful opinions are hopelessly unsupported by facts 100% of the time, asserted that Russian hackers swayed the election toward Trump. "But do you believe Russian hacking could actually change the outcome? Yes! I do believe that. That's what I believe!" This was followed by applause from the show's all-female audience of excitable celebrity-worshippers, who think that if Whoopi believes something, it must be true and applause-worthy.
Purported comedienne Joy Behar then blamed Trump for “encouraging” the hacking and hysterically demanded he “step down” before getting access to the nuclear codes. "Isn't it time for him to step down? I mean, he has to step down before the inauguration, before they give him the nuclear codes. We are at risk when the President of the United States is fighting with the CIA. That is a terrible thing."
When the panelists got around to discussing Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson, who in the past has had business dealings with Vladimir Putin, Behar went apoplectic: “Do we have to wait until the hammer and sickle is on the American flag until we stand up to this guy?”
So all of a sudden the left is anti-Communist? Now they're red-baiting and fear-mongering about the Russian threat? Now they care about the American flag?
Watch the whole clip if you can stomach it.
