Mark Levin interviewed Crapitalism author Jason Mattera Thursday about being literally thrown against the wall of the Capitol Building by Harry Reid’s bodyguard for asking Reid a question about how he made his millions while on the public dime (video above). In the interview, Mattera described the encounter in detail, saying, “This is the type of gangsterism coming from Harry Reid.”

Levin: I saw online at PJ Media that one of the thugs that protects Harry Reid simply because you asked Harry Reid how he made his millions despite the fact that he’s on the government payroll, literally threw you against the wall of the Capitol Building. Am I right about that?

Mattera: Yes, it was absolutely unreal. How does someone who entered politics broke then get rich, right? It’s a valid question to ask, and  I go and confront Reid on it and ask him a basic question of how he became so rich on a government salary and how’d he accumulate so much wealth.

His body guard then takes me and shoves me up against the wall, then asks me, “Are you with the press?” Once I tell him, “Yes, I’m actually with the media, and I’m asking this question,” he’s like, “I don’t care if you’re press or not.”

This is the type of gangsterism coming from Harry Reid, where even if I wasn’t with the media—what if I was just an intern or just a concerned taxpayer who wanted to know how Harry Reid is living large on my dime? That gives this body guard leniency and free reign to go and body slam another individual?

Levin: I mean he really threw you hard against the wall. He didn’t just come between you and the Senator. He didn’t know who you were and so forth. You weren’t threatening the Senator. You asked him a question.

Mattera: A basic question. How did you become so rich on a government paycheck? And then I rephrased the same question, wasn’t threatening at all. And he slammed me up against the wall and then essentially slammed up against another wall. And Harry Reid… of course, he ignores my queries to him and then does nothing and keeps walking as though, you know, he’s Don Corleone, and how dare I try to hold him accountable for his practices as a United States Senator? ...

Levin: Let’s be blunt. You were assaulted...

Mattera and Levin move on to discuss how Reid used his position in the Senate to make him a millionaire and some of the details of Mattera’s new book, Crapitalism: Liberals Who Make Millions Swiping Your Tax Dollars.
