Joe Kennedy III to Deliver SOTU Rebuttal

"Congressman Kennedy profoundly understands the challenges facing hardworking men."

Have you missed having a prominent Kennedy around? I haven't, either, but that won't stop the Democrats from putting one front and center. Here comes Rep. Joe Kennedy III (grandson of Bobby, grand-nephew of JFK and Ted) from, obviously, Massachusetts. Many expect him to run for Senate when a seat opens up, but the party is already making sure he's in the limelight, so he's been tapped to give the party's rebuttal to the upcoming State of the Union Address.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said in a statement:

“While President Trump has consistently broken his promises to the middle class, Congressman Kennedy profoundly understands the challenges facing hardworking men and women across the country.”

Ah, yes, nothing like generations of wealth and power to keep you in touch with the working man. Keep in mind that Joe Kennedy, Sr. was the first chairman of the SEC and the first Chairman of the Maritime Commission, both under Franklin Roosevelt, as well as his ambassador to the United Kingdom. At more than $43 million dollars, Kennedy's net worth is 51 times more than the average representative.

Really looking forward to him telling us how much he understands the struggle. Good pick, Democrats.
