In an interview out in the middle of the woods with Oprah Winfrey, former Vice President Joe Biden expressed deep regret that he isn’t the president.

"I have a regret that I am not president because I think there is so much opportunity," he said. "I think America is so incredibly well-positioned."

Biden clarified that he doesn’t regret his decision not to run two years ago, five months after his son Beau died of brain cancer. It was the right decision for his family at that time, he said. For anyone to run for the presidency, they must be able to answer these two questions, he said:

“One: Do they truly believe they are the most qualified person for that moment? I believed I was, but was I prepared to be able to give my whole heart, my whole soul and all my attention to the endeavor? And I knew I wasn't."

But there was another reason he decided not to throw his name in the hat: he feared Hillary Clinton supporters would tear him limb from limb. And as we’ve learned, it was Bernie Sanders who received the targeted brunt of Clinton’s wrath. (Nice dodge, there, Handsy Joe!)

George Stephanopoulos and the gang at Good Morning America seemed to tingle at the possibility that Biden might consider running in 2020 and bring back the era of Obama the Left seems to be pining for. The show highlighted what Biden said coming “out hard against President Trump” this week:

“Did any one of you ever think that you would see folks coming out from under rocks and out of the the fields with torches, carrying swastikas, and then have those who were protesting compared as a moral equivalent of those people? Folks, this is eating at the fabric of this country.”

Seems like Joe still wants to take Trump behind the gym and show him what for. Of course, violence is a leftist's first instinct.
