Jimmy Kimmel: Trump Election Like OJ Acquittal

“I go to bed worried, and I wake up worried, and I honestly don’t know if things are going to be okay.”

Jimmy Kimmel has said a lot of stupid things, and what he recently told New York Magazine is right up there, or down there, with the most notable. What could this be, you ask, that could be so dumb it's remarkable even for Jimmy Kimmel? He said that Donald Trump's election is so bad that it compares to the acquittal of O.J. Simpson.

He said:

The closest thing I can compare it to is when O.J. got acquitted. It never occurred to me that it might happen. There was so much overwhelming evidence that O.J. was guilty, and you believe in the American judicial system. You believe that, for the most part, if somebody did it, they're going to prison for doing it. We're in a similar situation: Everything Donald Trump is doing and undoing is bad, bad, bad, and it seems so obvious, and it's happening anyway.

Not dramatic enough? He also said “I go to bed worried, and I wake up worried, and I honestly don’t know if things are going to be okay.” He admits in the magazine that he's alienated people by being political, more than he has attracted to the show, but doesn't care.

Jimmy, please go back to telling jokes. You're ridiculous. Is there such a thing as entertainment coming out of Hollywood anymore?
