Action star Jean-Claude Van Damme might have been holding a very tiny dog when stopped by TMZ cameras, but his ecstatic support for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was anything but tiny.
The Belgian butt-kicker was asked by the cameraman to comment on cyber warfare and how that might have an effect on the U.S. election. Firmly, yet politely, Van Damme said he would answer the question but didn’t want to be interrupted:
“I would like to talk to you and to give an answer but you have to promise me that I can talk for, like, let’s say, two minutes without being interrupted. Because I love America and I came here with nothing and I became a star because of these people [gestures to camera]. And I am very well in America.”
With that in mind, Van Damme said America has to be treated like a business, and there’s “no more time to talk about a cyber attack.”
“No more time to talk about nothing else,” he added, “than to fly to Russia, have a vodka with Mr. Putin and to try to make peace. Because all the rest are weak countries, except America is strong, and Russia is strong. So, you have to shake hands.”
Of the “locker room talk” business, Van Damme isn’t interested and slammed the media for focusing on all the wrong things:
“Do you know how many guys I know who say the word p-u-s-s-you-know-what many, many times a day? Guys, you’re talking about the wrong things in politics. Right now, you need a guy like — I would say, look, I love my brother Muslim. They love martial arts. I love them. I love everybody on Earth. Right now, we need Donald Trump.”
Even a Belgian action star who lives in Hong Kong can see the problem with the liberal media in America.
