Notorious Islamic activist Linda Sarsour recently charged members of what she called “the Jewish media” with unfairly giving her a bad rap.
The pro-Palestinian lightning rod of controversy made the claim at the “Anti-Semitism and the Struggle for Justice” event Tuesday night at New York’s The New School. Sarsour contended:
“If what you’re reading all day long, morning and night, in the Jewish media is that Linda Sarsour and Minister Farrakhan are the existential threats to the Jewish community, something really bad is gonna happen and we gonna miss the mark on it.”
The event was supposed to be “a discussion of how to combat” bigotry aimed at Jews. Given that fact, Sarsour's attendance was more than a mere headscratcher -- the co-organizer of March's left-wing, anti-Trump Women's March was asked that same month if there was "room for people who support of the state of Israel," to which she replied, "There can't be in feminism." The former executive director of the Arab American Association of New York, Sarsour has tweeted that "nothing is creepier than Zionism."

Sarsour's ill-repute casts a wide net -- in June, former rocker Courtney Love wrote about Sarsour and the Women's March for the Times of Israel:
“I won’t follow anything that's being led by an anti-Semetic[sic] terrorist that’s using feminism as a tool to promote her radicalism."
As for the Minister Louis Farrakhan, he believes that all non-black people — particularly whites — are literally inherently evil; furthermore, he has said that Jews are white. The racist Farrakhan has more than once called Hitler “a very great man,” and he has called Jews bloodsucking members of “the synagogue of Satan.” As if that weren't enough, The New York Times reported that the bow-tied purveyor of insanity once stated to Jews, "When it's God who puts you in the ovens, it's forever."

The bizarre event -- which also included two representatives for the anti-Israel group Jewish Voice for Peace -- featured Sarsour absurdly claiming that Americans live “under fascism,” and that the Jewish community’s “existential threat resides in the White House, in the highest offices of these lands.” She also defended her participation in a movement to economically sanction the Jewish state.
Leftist Sarsour's very presence at the event was contrary to its entire existence. The irony was not lost on the New York Post, which lamented:
“It’s the very definition of Orwellian: a panel titled “Anti-Semitism and the Struggle for Justice” that’s actually meant to promote Israel-bashing.”
The Anti-Defamation League’s national director, Jonathan Greenblatt, agreed, tweeting:
“Having Linda Sarsour & head of JVP leading a panel on #antisemitism is like Oscar Meyer leading a panel on vegetarianism.”
Following that tweet, Greenblatt continued:
"Seriously, there's not a single Jewish organization that studies this issue and/or fights this disease (such as @adl_national) would take this panel seriously, let alone the institution that put it together. It's a sad day for the @theNewSchool."
And a sad day for America and Israel when someone like Sarsour is given a platform, much less celebrated, as an opponent of anti-Semitism.
