As violence escalates in Gaza, access to the site of the plane shot down by Russian-backed terrorists remains limited and the crisis on America's southern border worsens, President Barack Obama plans to head west for a series of fundraisers this week. 

CBS White House correspondent Mark Knoller reported Monday that the current spate of global and domestic unrest is not enough to forestall the President's unprecedentedly prolific fundraising pace:

Obama is scheduled to headline a fundraiser in Seattle Tuesday night at the home of former Costco CEO James Sinegal, then attend two Democratic events in California on Wednesday.
