Former Chairman of the Republican National Committee Michael Steele appeared on MSNBC Wednesday to express his concerns over the New York grand jury's decision to not indict a New York police officer in the death of Eric Garner.
Speaking with Alex Wagner on the peacock cable network, Steele, the former Lt. Governor of Maryland, was passionate about the racial implications in the grand jury's decision:
“A prosecutor can indict a ham sandwich? Well, clearly a black man’s life is not worth a ham sandwich when you put these stories together. And that is the frustration that a lot of African-Americans see.”
