In the latest sign that the end of the world is near, Forbes Magazine has named Justin Bieber as the highest-paid celebrity under the age of 30.
His fans follow him religiously on Twitter, where he has 56.6 million followers, and his live shows sell out in minutes. Bieber tops our list of the Highest-Earning Celebrities Under 30 with an estimated $80 million over the 12-month span we evaluated, mostly thanks to the tail end of his world tour. With a new album reportedly in the works, the 20-year-old star has a chance to let his music speak louder than his latest shenanigans. Bieber recently released 15 seconds each of 11 songs using his Instagram account but there’s no solid word on when the album will be finished.
Nine of the ten on the list are from the music industry, so maybe you shouldn't immediately squash your kids' interest in starting a garage band without hearing their sound first. Actress Jennifer Lawrence is the one outlier representing the acting profession. The star of the Hunger Games franchise hauled in $34 million last year.
The complete list is as follows:
1. Justin Bieber, $80 million
2. One Direction, $75 million
3.Taylor Swift, $64 million
4. Bruno Mars, $60 million
5. Rihanna, $48 million
6. Miley Cyrus, $36 million
7. Jennifer Lawrence, $34 million
