Democrats are all over Donald Trump's case for daring to suggest a wall on our southern border will help stave off the rapid influx of illegal immigrants coming from Mexico. Both President Obama and Hillary Clinton have rejected Trump's proposal, saying America doesn't build walls, it builds bridges.
Yet there are two videos from Clinton's past showing her own proposals of building a wall to secure the border. One video is above, the other below. Notice the language: barrier, not wall. Like avoiding saying radical Islam at all costs, Democrats don't like to call things what they are:
In both videos, Clinton said that illegals should be stopped from entering the country and deported if they have breached the border -- solutions that are always considered "racist" unless said by a Democrat.
Univision's Jorge Ramos noted the similarities between Trump's and Clinton's proposals and confronted her at the Democratic Candidates Forum in January this year. He asked what the difference was between her wall and Trump's wall. She meandered carefully, assuring him she never said "wall," just a "fence":
Need more proof Democrats love building walls? Take a look at what they have planned for the upcoming Democratic National Convention next month in Philadelphia:
Security at the Sports Complex during the Democratic National Convention next month will include “no-scale fencing” to enclose the Wells Fargo Center and Xfinity Live!, the Secret Service special agent in charge said in an interview Thursday.
Oh, so they're erecting a wall that no one can climb over to protect the people inside from unwanted guests. Got it.
Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions (R) lambasted the DNC's security measure in a statement:
It’s interesting that the Democratic National Committee will have a wall around their convention to keep unapproved people out while at the same time, their presumptive nominee, Hillary Clinton, pushes for open borders policies that are even more radical than President Obama’s.
Clinton and the DNC don’t hesitate to use walls and guns for protecting themselves and their elite friends. I say it’s time to provide such protection to the at-risk people like Kate Steinle.
Steinle was murdered last year in San Francisco, a so-called sanctuary city, by a five-time deportee from Mexico who had a rap sheet seven felonies long.
But at least Democrats will be kept safe from people like Steinle's murderer inside the convention -- thanks to a wall.
The Freedom Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Therefore we do not endorse political candidates either in primary or general elections. However, as defenders of America’s social contract, we insist that the rules laid down by both parties at the outset of campaigns be respected, and that the results be decided by free elections. We will oppose any attempt to rig the system and deny voters of either party their constitutional right to elect candidates of their choice.
