On CNN Tuesday, Don Lemon was so frustrated by a conservative guest's criticisms of the Clintons that he abruptly ended the interview.
Lemon wanted to discuss the "appropriateness" of recent comments made by Donald Trump against Hillary Clinton: one about her using the bathroom during the Democratic debates and the other, getting "schlonged" in the 2008 election.
Conservative columnist Kurt Schlichter was less concerned with anything Trump has to say -- he is not a supporter -- and more interested in why the Clinton's misdeeds always get a pass in the media:
Look, Don, it's going to take a lot more for me to get upset at -- a woman who enabled a guy who turned the Oval Office into a frat house and his intern into a humidor. You know, I just don't care. I so don't care I would need Stephen Hawking to find the theoretical limit of how little I care about Donald Trump's silly jokes.
This hypocritical, pearl-clutching nonsense that Donald Trump's vulgar and mean and out there. And I can't stand Donald Trump.
Schlichter told Lemon that he hates the media for making him defend Donald Trump but said because Hillary stood behind a serial sexual abuser, "I think we set the standard a little lower than Donald Trump has even approached."
At first, Lemon seemed okay going back and forth with Schlichter until it was clear that the Clinton's past sins were remaining the focus. The CNN host wasn't interested in old dirty laundry but only in why a presidential candidate would engage in this type of language. And as such, the heat turned up to the point where Lemon became increasingly frustrated and eventually cut Schlichter's Skype feed.
