Delusional Rep. John Lewis Sends Hillary B-Day Message: ‘Madame President

#NotAnybodysPresident

Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) jumped on Twitter Thursday to wish Hillary Clinton a happy birthday but gave her a title she didn’t actually earn: "Madame President" (he added the "E," he must be French).

Perhaps Lewis is falling in line with his elderly cohorts in Congress, like Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters, and is inching toward senility and just forgot for a moment that Donald Trump is president; or perhaps he’s making a statement on the Electoral College and is handing her the title because she won the popular vote. But that’s not how our constitutional republic works; he should know that, he swore an oath to uphold that law. Meanwhile, there’s not enough “Not My President” hashtags in the world to make his wish come true. Hillary’s not anybody’s president.

But even Hillary Clinton is guilty of tweeting about herself as president — she did last year and in a birthday message to herself to boot:

This year, that message was parodied relentlessly:

Lewis got burned on Twitter, as well:

Reality is hard. It's even harder if you're a Democrat.
