Chelsea's Flat Fundraiser for Ma

Couldn't sell 60 seats in NYC.

It was a chance to get up close and personal, as well as sweaty, during an intimate fundraiser with Hillary Clinton's daughter Chelsea, but as The Daily Mail reports, not even a chance to hobnob with presidential offspring could sell out a Soul Cycle spin class:

The $2,700-a-head event, which offered just 60 seats at the popular cycling studio's Tribeca location and promised guests a photo with Chelsea, was expected to sell out quick while raising some easy money for the Hillary Clinton campaign but was ultimately a flop.

Such a flop in fact that in the end some seats were being sold for just $50, roughly the same price it costs to take a regular Soul Cycle class.

In the end some seats in the class may have even been given away in an effort to draw more people with a number of celebrity instructors taking part in the class. Chelsea, currently pregnant, did not take part in the spinning for Hillary class but spoke beforehand.

Celebrity instructor Laurie Cole reportedly announced that the event raised $75,000 or less than half of what it would have raised if it had sold out.
