The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is back with another pathetic publicity stunt. Citing anti-Islam attacks allegedly spurred by Donald Trump supporters (reports of attacks, mind you, that have not been substantiated by authorities and have only circulated via hearsay), CAIR will be providing free martial arts defense classes to Muslim women in College Park, Maryland. Because in Trump's America, Islamophobia will reach new heights, apparently. This time, the anti-Muslim backlash will be real.
The workshop, which will supposedly be live-streamed and is slated to commence Wednesday, is sponsored by CAIR and local Aqabah Karate Martial Arts Institute, International Business Times reports. It will teach Muslim women and girls how best to "mentally, physically and spiritually prepare to defend against an attack." Because, you know, Trump supporters are lying in wait.
"Hate incidents targeting Muslims are occurring with alarming frequency," said CAIR Maryland Outreach Manager Dr. Zainab Chaudry. "Learning basic self-defense techniques not only boosts self-confidence but is essential to personal safety and well-being."
"What we have seen is women being targeted. So particularly head-scarf wearing women," said Corey Saylor, who heads CAIR's "department to monitor and combat" fake hate crimes -- we mean, "Islamophobia."
"From all the case summaries that I’ve seen, that’s the main target of this backlash. Because they’re very visible. The headscarf tends to be what’s singled out in a lot of cases we’ve seen."
According to the report, Chaudry claims that she's aware of four instances in which Muslim women's headscarves were grabbed on a Maryland college campus. That's all the proof needed for Leftists. Hearsay about scarf-grabbing -- which, according to Chicago-based therapist Zaineb Abdullah, is a "thing." She posted a video online dubbed: "Hijab Grab."
